Arsene Wenger - For or Against

Not sure I'd give him a new contract just yet, but it is only right that he gets to see through his current one.

Last three seasons 4th,3rd, 2nd,. He has one year left . Keep the progression see what happens and then decide.

I wonder if any of our esteemed posters could work out at which point we were out of contention to win the title over the years and whether that has improved.

I guess it largely depends on how you define out of contention. For example last season, I think it was after the home lost to Swansea we were something like 10 points back with 8 games to go. For me, it was unlikely we were going to win all our games while Leicester also losing at least 3 times.

Other people would say it is when we can mathematically not win the league.

Depends on the summer activity. If we go into the league start with what we have - expect a backlash for every miss-placed pass or missed opportunity....gawd help us if we don't win a game.

if we buy well, then there will be some leeway by most while new signings bed in.

If Welbeckk is injured and Giroud will need a rest... who's going to be up top when the season kicks off?

Copa America has just finished and the Euro's this Sunday. Probably be mid July before transfer activity on all fronts gets going. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest that come this time in a month (5/8), we'll have the same squad and that'll be that.
I don't let myself get wound up anymore about it, it'll only ruin my summer when i've far better things to be doing like taking the family away and have a few beers with my mates.
The Higuain, Suarez etc etc summer was the final straw, never again will i let my summer be dictated by the transfer dealings of Arsenal Football Club.
If we sign some good players I'll naturally be happy, but i certainly won't let it affect me either way. F*ck 'em.

Remember when Wenger picked him up front alone against Bayern? Idiot.

Yet we are fed the BS about how important the champions league is for attracting players.
Hasn't stopped United or Chavski.

We don't even take the champions league that seriously with the resting of players and playing rookies who are completely out of their depth.

Arsene Wenger - For or Against

Postby Gunnersaurus » Wed Jul 06, 2016 5:17 pm

Another of his myths is being killed.

United are doing a pretty good job or attracing players for a club that's not in the CL.

What's worse is that we are in the CL and he can't find the players, so the excuse is not relevant either way.

So many fans have wrongly is used Ozil and Sanchez as examples but both were being forced out of their clubs.
