Opening Game of the season

AW has said that Ramsey will be given three weeks off to recover from the Euro`s which probably means he will not be ready for the start of the season. I should imagine this will also apply to Koscielny and Giroud and maybe Ozil so they also might not be available for Liverpool.

Correct, the following likely won't be playing

Koscielny
Giroud
Ozil
Ramsey

Wilshere, Xhaka and Sanchez will be ready so we should be fielding a team of

Cech

Bellerin, Gabriel, Mertesacker, Monreal

Sanchez, Elneny, Xhaka, Wilshere, Campbell

Walcott (or new striker!)

I`m a bit worried about our Central Defenders Gabriel hasn`t convinced me yet and I think BFG is well passed it especially when facing a player like Sturridge. Also would not Cazorla get into the team in place of Wilshere or Elneny. As for a Striker I hope it`s a new signing (not the Jap if he signs or Sanogo) and not Walcott.

This really isn't the season to have a slow start because he's waiting for the end of the window.

We need to come out flying against Liverpool and Leicester, will have some key men missing, just once he needed to get his business done early and it's not looking likely.

Let's just hope we get no niggles in pre season training.

We'll lose at least a couple during the pre season , Sanogo will start up top.

If Sonogo starts on the 1st day of the season and Wenger doesn't get grief from the fans then you know it's all over for this club.

Oh no. If Per starts the season in the staring eleven then I'm covering myself in my own faeces and doing a dirty protest outside the ground. And if Walcott starts up top then I'll think of something worse to do.

Just think Sanogo,Akpom and Theo being the only strikers available to face Loserpool/Leicester. This has to be a joke right?????

Its a bit of dilemma. If we start the season ok or better than it will be seen as a reason not to strengthen in key areas but as fans we don't want the team to do badly.

Opening Game of the season

From what I've seen pre-season we've got some interesting decisions to make for the 1st team when the league starts - which is nice.

I think barring injuries, the following players should get a go
Cech
Bellerin, ....., ....., Monreal,
Xhaka, Elneny
Ox, Iwobi, Cazorla
..........

3 spots left to fill
CF will be whoever takes the spot in the next 3 games - could well be Akpom right now.
CB, I expect we'll see Gabriel in one spot with Holding or a rushed back Kos.

Should be enough to take a fledgling but hard working Liverpool side - and nick a draw with the Champions...then get the big guns slowly back and motor though to Xmas - real belief - then a dip after Feb when the big boys get playing consistently.

2nd place again this season after probably leading for most of it.

Buy a super striker and a CB and we could nick it.
me neither

Ramsey and Sanchez have joined the squad for the Scandinavian games so might be ok for Liverpool. However, Jack has stayed behind for treatment on his knee and Ozil, Giroud and Koscielny will be back on Monday to resume training so won`t be match fit for Sunday week.
