With Lemars value either staying the same or more likely going up, I assume that we will therefore be saying goodbye to Sanchez and Ozil as well as anyone else we can sell to make up the transfer number.

Where is all this talk of Lemar coming to us in January coming from?

No post on this one for ages as we all know it's unlikely anything will happen.
Playing the if game for January.
Sanchez,Ozil,Walcott,Mustifa leave, and we bring in David Luiz,Evens, Draxler,Lemar,
Surely we would be a better team
“ Arsenal come streaming forward now in surely what will be their last attack. A good ball by Dixon, finding Smith, for Thomas, charging through the midfield. Thomas, it's up for grabs now! Thomas! ”

I agree about Sanchez, Walcott and Mustafi going but not Ozil. I have always liked Luiz and Draxler and Lemar would be great signings but I can`t see why people want Jonny Evans who has found his level at WBA. Anyway I doubt we will bring in anyone other than maybe some mid-european who no one has ever heard of. He will play two or three games and then disappear from where he came from.
I also forecast that at the end of the 2018/19 season AW will sign a new two year contract.

Usual transfer excitement , we have brought some Greek centre Back Malprovadosssssados or thingymebob , who goes straight out on loan and we will never hear of him again.

Transfers

A lot of transfer talk concerning Arsenal, in particular Aubameyang of Dortmund might be on his way as Dortmund are fed up with him and his lack of discipline but he is a brilliant player and a great goal scorer. Also a lot of chat about Malcolm of Bordeaux Brazilian lad only 20 plays on the Right Wing and is apparently an excellent player. Also mentioned is Mkhitaryan of Man Utd who is being mentioned as being part of a deal for Sanchez. I must admit from seeing him play he didn`t impress me too much but perhaps hen wasn`t used properly at United.
Finally our new Greek kid Mavropanos seems to have impressed AW so much that he is not going out on loan and in fact played last night for the u23`s in their 4-0 win over Man Utd and apparently he played very well.

Aubameyang would be a good signing ,don't know enough about Malcom, agree with RR about Mkhitaryan but reports are he's the stumbling block with Sanchez deal.
Walcott off to Everton, never did it for me, sort of bloke you would be glad if your daughter brought him home but not a great footballer .
Good luck to him anyway .

I wouldn't trust Wenger to go down to the local Asda to buy a sack of potatoes let alone anymore transfers. I say shift out Alexis & any other deadwood (Theo, Debuchy etc.), don't sign any replacements & let Wenger bury himself for the rest of the season with the squad he deemed good enough to challenge. After all, we've got 39 points already so we are 1 from the magic 40 to stay up!

In all honesty, top 4 has gone and I don't want us to finish in the Europa spots purely for selfish reasons wanting a cheaper Season Ticket next year for his last pointless season.

Feels very strange seeing Theo in an Everton shirt, as frustrating as he was, I don't blame him for his lack of development.

Wish nothing but good for him at Everton and hope he does well there.

What do you think about the players currently linked to Arsenal as potential transfers?
I like Sokratis from Dortmund, he is really good, much better then Mustafi.
With Kos out for a long time, Sokratis and our other young Greek talent could build a good CB pairing,
our young English CBs for the cup games.

I think it's more important to get what's needed than look for a marquee name, we got that in Jan.

Keeper, two centre backs, cover for Bellerin and a holding midfielder, get all those and the squad is looking a lot more balanced and ready.

Anyone with discipline and know-how gets my vote. Good start so far !

i'm happy with Lichsteiner. Good experience, tough, winner.

Can see it benefiting Bellerin's development a fair bit.

Morning FR

I watched a couple of minutes of Lich on YouTube and he looks quite a tough character might be the type of Captain we need.

Morning mate.

Definitely. And for a free transfer there's very little risk involved in it for The Arsenal.

I expect that this will be the level of transfers in Lichsteiner and Sokratis for much needed strength at the back possibly a midfielde to stay deep and protect what was obviously our main problem. Going forward we don't need much and a change of system may well enable our forwards to get better service.
