AC Milan v Arsenal official next match thead

Europa cup night that has more importance than ever now all other avenues are shut.
Two once mighty teams on the wane with the difference this season being AC Milan have changed their manager and picked up on form and performances.
Could be embarrassing again or the so called good players we have turn up and show they have got a bit of spunk about them and put in a shift with grit and heart.
Throw the kids on or stick with the same crap ? but the problem is the kids ain't that great either.
Any result that gives the second leg meaning will do for me.
Chin up and keep on cheering, worse things happen at sea someone once said.
“ Arsenal come streaming forward now in surely what will be their last attack. A good ball by Dixon, finding Smith, for Thomas, charging through the midfield. Thomas, it's up for grabs now! Thomas! ”

Aubameyang can't play.
Lacazette is injured.

So I guess Welbeck will lead the line?

I expected a performance against City in the league and it never came.
I expected a performance against Brighton and it never came.

Why are these players suddenly going to start playing now? You think Ozil is gonna grab the game by the scruff of the neck in the San Siro?
Monreal has been a big miss - I'd make him club captain.

I agree. Monreal is the only player who is playing well and looks like he is up for the fight.

Keown has just stated that Arsenal should sell Ozil. Sorry, but that's f#@king mental.

Really good display first half but we missed two excellent chances that we really should have scored from. Second half we defended well but never managed to hurt them on the break. Milan were poor but maybe we just made them look poor. I thought our MOM was Miki and I was very impressed with Maitland-Niles when he came on.

I think Kos had a good game.
Özil showed some brilliant passing, but he should look at Miki and learn to defend.
Welbeck is running a lot, but He looks like he will never score again.
Jack was good in the 1st half, he is also running a lot but he gave away the ball too often.
The Tank also had a good game, but like RR already mentioned, young Maitland-Niles
came on and played very calm and cool, no mistakes.

It was a good performance which made me angry as this should be the standard, Milan are awful, they are worse than us but you can only beat what's infront of you and going away and getting a result is good.

Hard to enjoy it though, won't lie, I'd rather Wenger would leave so I can be excited again, winning the Europa would secure more of the same and that's not good, very strange feelings around this period.

Milan played well yesterday. Better than they did against us anyway.

Given Juve and Sevilla have visited our shores and gone home winners against expectations, hope Wenger is approaching Thursday with the right attitude and , more important, right tactics.

It also goes for the players - complacency (and we had a lot of that this season) is hugely dangerous.

I just hope the players play well. It's quite simple really.
