Arsenal v Brentford official next match thread

On to the league cup and another chance to see some of the reserves get a game and compare them with the current first team.
Where's the young Greek boy Malpouros as its an ideal game got him to play in ?
I expect similar to the Europa side with maybe a few more youngsters starting.
Hope Smith Rowe starts as he does look a good prospect.
Saying that Brentford are a decent Championship did and if they go with their first eleven I can see an upset on the cards.
“ Arsenal come streaming forward now in surely what will be their last attack. A good ball by Dixon, finding Smith, for Thomas, charging through the midfield. Thomas, it's up for grabs now! Thomas! ”

And so onto Brentford , hopefully a different team but not so weak that we fall at the first hurdle. It is important that the youngsters get playing time but the more rounds we get through the more chance they get.
I think I saw that Mavropanos was on the injury list , hopefully he is available to play alongside Holding with Litchstein and probably Monreal to give them stability. ( 4 weeks apparently ).
